ABOUT ABOUT

As we prepare for our native plant sale on April 13, we are excited to motivate all levels of gardeners through this presentation to use native plants in their landscape.

Janet shares how to have points of interest in the landscape every month while providing food for our wonderful pollinators year-round without the work and expense of planting annuals for seasonal color.

Janet D. Smith is an award-winning Master Gardener and Master Naturalist. Her love of gardening started after she took early retirement and decided to spruce up her dismal landscape. She took the Master Gardening training and learned how to properly grow and care for plants. She embraced the concept of WaterWise Earth-Kind Gardening in her landscape and as a speaker on this topic. Later she became a Master Naturalist and joined the Native Plant Society of Texas where she coordinated their popular Native Landscape Certification Program.

This presentation is one of many plant topics Janet shares year-round.

Event is free, but donations are always appreciated to support the many programs offered for our guests.
